• Developed original curriculum, handouts, and exercises for classes. This included lesson plans compiled from multiple sources such as textbooks and training videos, as well as my own personal experience.
• First faculty member to instruct classes on color correction and video compression. I also took over the Beginning Final Cut class from a previous instructor, improving the curriculum and adding new, updated material.

Instructor for an intensive, seven-week course in video production at Garfield Community Center in Seattle, WA. The class was part of a summer education program consisting of a group of ten 14-16-year-old students who created short video projects. The class met for four hours a day, four days a week, and included all aspects of video production from scripting and storyboarding to filming and editing.

• Developed original curriculum, handouts, and exercises for classes
• Worked with students on an individual level to help them develop their own creative vision and interests
• Presented students' final work and spoke as part of an assembly that included contributions from other RecTech programs city-wide

Editor, director, and post-production supervisor for independent film
Seattle, WA and Kula, HI

Editor/Director of a 78-minute documentary film about Israel titled Woke Up Alive, which utilized footage from multiple sources including one of Israel's leading cinematographers. Duties included script writing, capturing of video footage, conversion of footage from multiple video formats, color correction and DVD authoring, scouting candidates for audio engineering, preparing and supervising all audio work, film promotion, web development, and marketing.

• Communicated daily via phone and email with executive producer and other post-production personnel to ensure common direction throughout entire filmmaking process
• Film has been accepted to six film festivals worldwide in 2010 and won Best Documentary at the Treasure Coast International Film Festival in Florida
• Designed web site for the film and continue to manage content and updates as they occur

Contracted editor for Inventive Productions, LLC.  Short project involved editing together stock footage and interview material to create a promotional video for local businesses.  Multiple sources were used including HD video, SD video, and still images.

• Expedia, Inc. purchased the rights to the finished project and has used it internally to demonstrate core values and business culture

Volunteering:

911 Seattle Media Arts Center is non-profit resource group for filmmakers and multi-media artists in Seattle. I am a regular volunteer and as well as a paid faculty member. As a volunteer, I assist staff in helping other filmmakers and local artists, as well as contribute creative content for various projects.
